    Capt. Ryan Headrick, 81st Training Wing Commander’s Action Group director at Keelser AFB, won the 2019 General John P. Jumper Award for Excellence in Warfighting Integration for his work as a project engineer, where he sought solutions for communication infrastructure and spent upward of 200 days on the road per year at various temporary duty locations.
  • Keesler's Hurricane Hunters fly atmospheric rivers

    The Hurricane Hunters are scheduled to perform “AR recon” from January through March. Scientists, led by Scripps Institution of Oceanography at University of California, San Diego, working in partnership with the 53rd WRS, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Weather Service and Office of Marine and Aviation Operations, will be on standby to fly through atmospheric rivers over the Pacific to gather data to improve forecasts.

A day in which the Armed Forces and the Italian people remember the fallen of all the wars that contributed, up to the last extreme sacrifice, to freedom and democracy for the future of the Italian Republic.
