33rd Operations Group

The 33rd Operations Group is comprised of the 58th Fighter Squadron, the 337th Air Control Squadron, and the 33rd Operations Support Squadron. The group is also responsible for the F-35 Intelligence Formal Training Unit at Eglin AFB and operates the Air Force Special Operations Forces IFTU at Hurlburt Field, Fla.

58th FS "Mighty Gorillas"

The 58th FS "Mighty Gorillas" instruct pilots on the F-35A. They plan and execute a training curriculum in support of U.S. Air Force training requirements

337th ACS

The 337th ACS is a GSU stationed at Tyndall AFB, Fla., trains air battle managers for the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve. Additionally, its members provide command and control support for Tyndall's F-22 training mission and train international officers for tactical command and control operations.

33rd OSS "Jokers"

The 33rd OSS "Jokers" provide wing-level operational intelligence training, weapons and tactics, aircrew flight equipment, training and scheduling support for the flying squadron.

The AFSOF IFTU bridges the gap between the intelligence skills taught at basic intelligence school, and those skills needed to successfully support the special operations war fighter. The intelligence training mission provides initial qualification training to both officer and enlisted intelligence personnel, which prepares them to provide immediate support to an operational special operations unit.

Happy 244th birthday Marine Corps!!
On November 4th the Italian delegation at Eglin AFB hosted an Italian Breakfast to the community to celebrate the Italian Unity and Armed Forces Day. Seventy years ago, the Italian Republic recognized this day as National Unity and Armed Forces Day. A date that summarizes the founding values of a national identity long pursued by the Italian people. A day in which the Armed Forces and the Italian people remember the fallen of all the wars that contributed, up to the last extreme sacrifice, to freedom and democracy for the future of the Italian Republic.
