Griffin Memorial

Staff Sgt. Patrick Griffin’s widow and children, Michelle, Makensie and Corey were in attendance at the Griffin Memorial Rededication Ceremony May 16 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Griffin, a member of the 728th Air Control Squadron, was the only Eglin casualty of Operation Iraqi Freedom when he was killed by a roadside bomb May 13, 2003. His memorial was moved from the 728th ACS building, which will be deactivated May 17, to its new location close to the 33rd Fighter Wing’s Khobar Towers Memorial.
