Maj. Christina "Thumper" Hopper, from the 71st Flying Training Wing at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma, speaks to Charleston area high school girls at the 8th Annual Joint Base Charleston Women in Aviation Career Day. Hopper was the first African-American female fighter pilot to fly combat missions during a major war.
