Senior Airman Kiefer Luth, 14th Operations Support Squadron air traffic controller, Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi, visits with his grandfather, retired Air Force Col. Derrel Dempsey, during a room dedication ceremony in Dempsey’s honor March 9, 2015, at Cody Hall, Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. Luth graduated from the 334th TRS air traffic control course August 2010. The 334th TRS dedicated the building’s conference room in honor of Dempsey’s military accomplishments. Dempsey, who’s recognized in the Air Force's Communications and Information Hall of Fame, has 30 years of Air Force aviation experience as chief of air traffic control, flight inspection pilot, radar approach control and control tower officer and air traffic control staff officer at various assignments around the world.
