EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- A crew chief with the 33rd Fighter Wing and pilot conduct the post flight shut down of an a F-35A Lightning II July 13. With three F-35As arriving today, the wing increased the fleet to 16 F-35 A and B variants combined. This week also marks the 100th sortie of an F-35 at Eglin with a Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 501 flight July 11. The wing received its first F-35 July 14, 2011 and continues to qualify Air Force and Marine Corps initial cadre as instructor pilots. (U.S. Air Force photo by Maj. Karen Roganov)
