A Look Inside AETC

ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Firefighters of the 97th Civil Engineering Squadron carry a simulated injured servicemember to safety during an emergency response exercise on Altus AFB, Okla., March 11, 2009. The 97th Air Mobility Wing is responsible for the formal training of all C-17 and KC-135 for active duty, Guard and Reserve aircrews. The wing’s world-class instructors receive students from Undergraduate Pilot Training, the Basic Boom Operator Course, and Basic Loadmaster course, and train them to operate C-17 and KC-135 aircraft in combat as well as other worldwide contingencies.
