CCAF appoints chief as first enlisted as vice commandant

The Community College of the Air Force appointed a chief master sergeant as the vice commandant recently. Chief Master Sgt. Joseph Thornell is the first enlisted Airmen to hold the position previously reserved for lieutenant colonels. The appointment is a milestone for enlisted education and training.
