Payne takes command of AFMOA

Col. Lee E. Payne accepts the guidon from Lt. Gen. Thomas W. Travis, Surgeon General of the Air Force, and assumes command of the Air Force Medical Operations Agency during a change of command ceremony at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Kelly Field Annex Aug. 29, 2014. AFMOA oversees the execution of the Air Force Surgeon General policies supporting Air Force expeditionary capabilities, healthcare operations and national security strategy. Col.
