Nomads Support Operation Allies Welcome

The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 11,000 Afghan evacuees at Liberty Village, in permanent or temporary structures. Afghan children walk through Liberty Village at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, Nov. 11, 2022. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 11,000 Afghan evacuees at Liberty Village, in permanent or temporary structures. Retired Col. Petry Brick Dedication
U.S. Air Force Col. Jack R. Arthaud, 33rd Fighter Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Shane Rose, 33rd Fighter Wing command chief, participated in a bricklaying ceremony for Air Force retired Col. Jack R. Petry at the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast Nov. 1, 2021, at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Petry, who passed away earlier this year, was a decorated pilot and served as the 33rd Tactical Fighter Wing commander in the 1980s commanding 2,300 personnel, including 120 pilots ad 75 F-15C Eagle aircraft.
