Meet U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Rejon Osborne, an aircraft flight equipment technician with the 33rd Operations Support Squadron, 33rd Fighter Wing, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, currently working with the 58th Fighter Squadron, 33rd FW, Eglin AFB, at Volk Field ANGB, providing support during exercise Northern Lightning 2022.

Originally from Fontana, California, Osborne joined the ranks in May of 2019 and became a Nomad in October of the same year.

“I joined the Air Force because it was an option I was willing to explore,” he said. “I saw an opportunity to try something new. I thought why not? It’ll get me out of my comfort zone.”

His daily responsibilities include ensuring and maintaining the safety of F-35 pilots’ equipment.

In his work center, he wants to be known as someone knowledgeable who can perform everyday tasks in a professional and efficient manner.

“My family is my biggest inspiration,” said Osborne. “They have been there for me since day one, constantly encouraging me to do better.”

A good support system has played a vital role in Osborne’s Air Force career.

“My support system has helped push me to do things that I never thought I would do and see places I never thought I would see. A good support system is everything.”

Outside of work he enjoys gaming and enjoying the luxuries the surrounding area of Eglin AFB provides. Osborne’s professional goal is to establish a career that he will enjoy for the rest of his life.

“If you are thinking about joining, take the chance,” he said. “Get out of your comfort zone and go in with an open mind, the Air Force is what YOU make of it.”
