Chief Master Sergeant Kelvin J. Hatcher is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 33d Fighter Wing, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. He leads the enlisted force and is the principal advisor to the commander on all matters impacting the combat readiness, mission effectiveness, professional development, training, utilization, health, morale and welfare. He provides leadership to over 1,500 military, civilian and contractor personnel in support of the F-35 Lightning II for the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and seven coalition partners, training graduate pilots, air battle managers and intelligence personnel to utilize this fifth- generation weapons system. The 33d Fighter Wing “Nomads,” is a graduate flying and maintenance training wing with two geographically separated organizations, the 337th Air Control Squadron, which provides the Air Force’s only Air Battle Manager training at Tyndall AFB and an F-35 Intelligence Formal Training Unit at Hurlburt Field, Florida.
Chief Hatcher enlisted into the Air Force in September 2000 and later graduated from the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Apprentice Course in May 2001. Throughout his career, Chief Hatcher has served in multiple capacities within the Civil Engineer functional community, ranging from base level to Headquarters Air Force, as well as a Technical Training Instructor.
Additionally, Chief Hatcher has served as Base Honor Guard Program Manager and Inspector General Superintendent. His assignments include bases in Japan, Wyoming, Washington, Texas, North Dakota, Washington D.C. and Arizona. Chief Hatcher has deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, INHERENT RESOLVE, SPARTAN SHIELD, ENDURING SENTINEL and ALLIES REFUGE. Prior to his current position, Chief Hatcher served as the Senior Enlisted Leader of the 355th Mission Support Group, Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz.
