Colonel JORDAN G. GRANT

Col. Jordan G. Grant is the Vice Commander, 33rd Fighter Wing, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The wing executes the F-35A Lightning II flying program and hosts F-35 A/B/C maintenance training for the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and eight international partners. The wing is also responsible for U.S. Air Force and international air battle manager training at Tyndall AFB, Florida, and intelligence formal training at Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field, Florida.
 
Col. Grant is a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy Class of 1998. He completed Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training in Wichita Falls, Texas, and stayed on as a First Assignment Instructor Pilot in the T-38A Talon. After three years and over 1100 hours instructing T-38 students from the U.S. and other NATO countries, Col. Grant moved to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, to fly the F-15E Strike Eagle. He served as Chief of Readiness and Flight Commander in the 336th Fighter Squadron, deploying twice and logging over 300 combat hours in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.
 
In 2007, Col. Grant became the Deputy Chief, Targeting Effects, 607th Air Operations Center, Osan Air Base, South Korea. His responsibilities included coordinating with South Korean forces to build target lists in defense of the Republic of Korea. He then returned to the F-15E as an Assistant Director of Operations in the 389th Fighter Squadron, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. While stationed at Mountain Home, Col. Grant also served as Executive Officer to the 366th Operations Group Commander and Chief of Squadron Standardization and Evaluation. During the next three years, he spent a total of 17 months overseas during three separate deployments to Central Command and Pacific Command theaters. During those deployments, he logged an additional 400 hours of combat flying time in Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and served on the ground as an Iraqi Air Force Advisor in Baghdad, Iraq.
 
In 2012, Col. Grant transitioned to the F-15C and became a fully qualified Aggressor Pilot, Mission Commander and Syllabus Instructor in the 65th Aggressor Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. He served as the Chief of Adversary Weapons in the 57th Adversary Tactics Group and then as the Deputy Commander of the 414th Combat Training Squadron (RED FLAG) before moving on to become the 57th Operations Group Deputy Commander. He then qualified as a pilot in the F-16C Fighting Falcon in order to assist in the standup of the 24th Tactical Air Support Squadron at Nellis. In December of 2015, Col. Grant took command of the 549th Combat Training Squadron, GREEN FLAG. After squadron command, Col. Grant served as Air Combat Command’s lead requirements officer for the F-35 weapon system for two years before being selected for his next command at the AFCENT Air Warfare Center, Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates. Col. Grant and family spent 2 years living in Abu Dhabi and leading security cooperation and training missions in partnership with UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other regional partners.
 
Col. Grant has been mission qualified in the T-38A, F-15E, F-15C and F-16C. He is a command pilot with over 3,300 flying hours in fighter and trainer aircraft.
